Know your beekeepers!

R.G. Bees began in 2017 when Renee Brunson purchased her first bees from a local beekeeper that she had been working for that was retiring. The name "R.G. Bees" was a sort of a play off of her initials, R.G.B. She had been working as a beekeeper for 5 years already and felt like it was time to take the leap into her own company. For the first couple of years she partnered with another local beekeeper and they sold their honey together on the commercial wholesale market to large packing plants. Over time she started selling more honey to neighbors and at a few local farmers markets.

In 2019, her now husband, Colt Sell started helping her manage her bees and growing her business. In 2020 they decided to start selling all of their honey retail, direct to consumers, cutting out the packing companies and keeping their product completely unadulterated, raw and all natural to provide the highest quality products possible.

What started out as a struggle to fill a 6 foot folding table with variety at a farmers market has now become what you see today, an ever growing array of products made both by them and other companies that use their products and they collaborate with.

We believe in keeping our products as pure and raw as possible. This is what helped us make the switch to selling all of our honey direct to consumers. Mass produced, "box store" honey is far from natural or healthy. The back label tells a lot about it. We didn't like the thought of all of our hard work and all of the hard work the bees do to produce so much honey, just being ruined by being pasteurized and blended with honey and syrup from all over the world. We also wanted to keep our honey affordable for everyone. We also consider both of these things when choosing to collaborate with other companies. We want everything we offer to be as healthy and natural as possible.

Our customer service and satisfaction is incredibly important to us as we want to have the respect of our customers and earn their trust. We want them to know that the product they are buying started with the hand they're shaking, not some mass produced diluted garbage.
